By using the Conflict and Humanitarian Data Centre website and any of its services, you confirm that you accept the CHDC’s Terms of Use and that you agree to comply with them.

Together with INSO’s Privacy Policy. These Terms of Use constitute the terms and conditions for using of INSO’s CHDC website.

Information About Us

chdc.ngosafety.org is a website operated by the International NGO Safety Organisation (INSO). We are an international Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) that supports the safety of aid workers in high risk contexts. INSO is based in the Hague, Netherlands with presence in more than 17 countries.

CHDC (Conflict and Humanitarian Data Centre) is meant to directly inform the global humanitarian community on NGO safety and access. Complementing the analysis and advice provided by INSO’s field coordination platforms to over 1000 registered partners, and utilizing our unique and comprehensive data, the core objective of INSO CHDC is to act as an interlocutor that offers specific products and services that contribute to and impact global humanitarian discourses, strategic decision-making and policy development for navigating complex responses in volatile contexts.

Accessing the CHDC website

Using our CHDC website is free of charge for INSO registered partners and members. We do not guarantee that our website or its content will always be uninterrupted online.

Access to our website is permitted on a temporary basis and automatically expires with loss of your INSO membership status. We may suspend, withdraw, discontinue or change all or any part of your access to our website without notice.

You are also responsible for ensuring that all persons who access our website through your member account and internet connection are aware of these terms and conditions and that they comply with them.

Your Account and Password

Access to the CHDC application requires you to be an INSO registered member and that you have created a password for your account via your access to INSO’s partners portal (https://partners.ngosafety.org/login).

When you are provided with your password or any other piece of information as part of our security procedures, you must treat such information as confidential. You must not disclose it to any third party.

We have the right to disable any user password, whether chosen by you or allocated by us, at any time, if in our reasonable opinion you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of these terms of use.

If you know or suspect that anyone other than you knows your user identification or password, you must notify us at info@ngosafety.org.

Using CHDC Content

CHDC content is for the exclusive use of INSO partners and is meant to be shared widely throughout our partners’ organizations but must not be shared outside your organization.

Users must appropriately credit INSO as the source e.g. by providing a link to the original source.

Users may not use the material for commercial purposes.

If users remix, transform, or build upon the material, they may not distribute the modified material.

Nothing on the CHDC website should be regarded as operational advice. You should always ensure that you have sufficient information to adequately assess the risks and make operational decisions based on a comprehensive assessment of those risks.

Links to other websites

Although this Website may link to other websites, we are not, directly or indirectly, implying any approval, association, sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation with any linked website, unless specifically stated by us. We have no control over and are not responsible for the content of any linked websites. Limitation of INSO’s liability

INSO, and any of its directors, employees or other representatives, shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising out of or in connection with the use of this website, its services or its data.
